Acceptable Use Policy

Rules that keep Jolloyard safe and trustworthy for everyone — customers, providers, and the platform itself.

Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who creates an account or uses Jolloyard in any capacity — customers booking services, providers offering services, and anyone browsing as a guest. It supplements our Terms of Service.

Prohibited activities

You agree not to use Jolloyard to:

  • Conduct or facilitate any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful activity
  • Buy, sell, or arrange services that are illegal under Nigerian law
  • Offer or solicit adult services, sexual content, or escort services
  • Sell or transport controlled substances, weapons, counterfeit goods, or stolen property
  • Engage in money laundering, tax evasion, or any other financial crime
  • Process payments unrelated to a genuine service booking on the platform

Account integrity

  • Provide accurate, current, and truthful information when registering and on your profile
  • Do not create multiple accounts to evade restrictions or manipulate ratings
  • Do not impersonate another person, business, or organisation
  • Do not buy, sell, transfer, or share access to your account
  • Providers must use a real identity document during verification; falsified or borrowed documents will result in permanent removal

Conduct on the platform

  • Treat other users, providers, and Jolloyard staff with respect
  • Do not harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, or abuse anyone
  • Do not post or send content that is hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or violent
  • Do not share another person's private information without permission
  • Do not use the platform's messaging system to spam, market unrelated products, or distribute malware

Off-platform solicitation

Customers and providers must complete all bookings, payments, and communications related to a Jolloyard service through the Jolloyard platform. Soliciting users to transact outside the platform — for example, to avoid commission or to bypass our refund and dispute protections — is strictly prohibited and grounds for immediate removal.

Listings, reviews, and ratings

  • Listings must accurately describe the service, price, and what is included
  • Do not post misleading photos, fake credentials, or inflated qualifications
  • Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with a real booking
  • Do not buy, sell, trade, or coerce reviews or ratings
  • Do not retaliate against users who leave honest negative feedback

Technical abuse

  • Do not use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access the platform without our written permission
  • Do not attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls
  • Do not upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to disrupt or compromise the platform or other users
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from our apps

Enforcement

We take violations seriously. Depending on severity and history, we may:

  • Remove offending content or listings without notice
  • Issue a written warning
  • Limit features available to the account (e.g. messaging, listing creation)
  • Suspend the account temporarily
  • Terminate the account permanently and block re-registration
  • Report the activity to law enforcement or relevant regulators where required by Nigerian law

For serious or repeated violations, we will not provide advance notice before taking action.

Reporting

If you see content or behaviour on Jolloyard that violates this policy, report it to support@jolloyard.com with as much detail as you can — links, screenshots, dates, and the account name involved. We review every report and respond within 5 business days.

Updates to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through the app and on our website. Continued use of Jolloyard after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
